Teenagers also have problems

DRUGS

For me, this is the main problem that a teenager can have. When a teen takes drugs, it can interfere with his natural ability to feel good. Then, there are some consequences like academic difficulties, health-related problems (including mental health), poor peer relationships, and involvement with the youth justice system. Additionally, there are consequences for family members, the community, and the entire society.

The United States represents 5 percent of the world's population and 75 percent of prescription drugs taken. 60 percent of teens who abuse prescription drugs get them free from friends and relatives.
By the 8th grade, 28 percent of adolescents have consumed alcohol, 15 percent have smoked cigarettes, and 16.5 percent have used marijuana.
Teens who consistently learn about the risks of drugs from their parents are up to 50 percent less likely to use drugs than those who don't. Parents are very important when it comes to solve problems. They can help you in whatever you need. If someone you know is smoking or using tobacco, encourage him or her to talk to a parent, school guidance counselor, or other trusted adult. When the smoker just start taking drugs, the probability that he or she stop to do it is greater.

There are different types of drugs, some worse than others, but all of them are unhealthy. These are the most common:

  • STIMULANTS. These drugs increase energy and feelings of well being. They give the user a rush of adrenalin which is closely followed by a crash. Coffee and caffeine are the most used stimulants.
Types of stimulants:
  • Ecstasy
  • Cocaine
  • Methamphetamine
  • Amphetamines
  • Methylphenidate

  • DEPRESSANTS. They depress the nervous system reducing anxiety, stress and fear. They weaken the consumer. Depressants are highly addictive.

Types of depressants:
  • Marijuana
  • Barbiturates
  • Tranquilizers
  • Heroin
  • Morphine and codeine
  • Alcohol

  • INHALANTS. They aren’t illegal but they are frequently abused in the same way that illegal drugs.

Types of inhalants:
  • Markers
  • Glues
  • Hair sprays
  • Cleaning fluids
  • Paint thinner

  • HALLUCINOGENS. They cause alterations in thought, mood or perception. Users can receive an anxiety or panic attack which can result in violent behavior or mental breakdown.

Types of hallucinogens:
  • LSD
  • Ketamine
  • Dimenhydrinate
  • Nitrous oxide
  • Madrake
  • Diphenhydramine
  • PCP
  • Angel’s trumpet
  • Jimson weed
  • Salvia Divinorum

The drug addiction is often given by friends in parties. They say that you will be more "cool" but all that they do is harm your and his own health.
They can threaten you and then you won't remember what happened with you the previous day.

They also use diuretics, laxatives, they vomit on purpose or perform physical exercise. Affected individuals may lose from 15 to 50 percent of their body weight.

This disease is often associated with serious psychological disorders that cause changes in behavior and emotional behavior.

When unwanted pregnancy occur, women resort to abortion.
An abortion is an expulsion from the uterus of a fetus. When a baby has not come out yet, some mothers kill this small guy.
The abortion is already prohibited in Spain and I agree. But if women can not kill the fetus through an operation, they will kill him when he will be outside mother's womb.

The following article is about Lucy Lanelly, a young woman who made her first abortion when she was 12.
