Teenagers also have problems

DRUGS

For me, this is the main problem that a teenager can have. When a teen takes drugs, it can interfere with his natural ability to feel good. Then, there are some consequences like academic difficulties, health-related problems (including mental health), poor peer relationships, and involvement with the youth justice system. Additionally, there are consequences for family members, the community, and the entire society.

The United States represents 5 percent of the world's population and 75 percent of prescription drugs taken. 60 percent of teens who abuse prescription drugs get them free from friends and relatives.
By the 8th grade, 28 percent of adolescents have consumed alcohol, 15 percent have smoked cigarettes, and 16.5 percent have used marijuana.
Teens who consistently learn about the risks of drugs from their parents are up to 50 percent less likely to use drugs than those who don't. Parents are very important when it comes to solve problems. They can help you in whatever you need. If someone you know is smoking or using tobacco, encourage him or her to talk to a parent, school guidance counselor, or other trusted adult. When the smoker just start taking drugs, the probability that he or she stop to do it is greater.

There are different types of drugs, some worse than others, but all of them are unhealthy. These are the most common:

  • STIMULANTS. These drugs increase energy and feelings of well being. They give the user a rush of adrenalin which is closely followed by a crash. Coffee and caffeine are the most used stimulants.
Types of stimulants:
  • Ecstasy
  • Cocaine
  • Methamphetamine
  • Amphetamines
  • Methylphenidate

  • DEPRESSANTS. They depress the nervous system reducing anxiety, stress and fear. They weaken the consumer. Depressants are highly addictive.

Types of depressants:
  • Marijuana
  • Barbiturates
  • Tranquilizers
  • Heroin
  • Morphine and codeine
  • Alcohol

  • INHALANTS. They aren’t illegal but they are frequently abused in the same way that illegal drugs.

Types of inhalants:
  • Markers
  • Glues
  • Hair sprays
  • Cleaning fluids
  • Paint thinner

  • HALLUCINOGENS. They cause alterations in thought, mood or perception. Users can receive an anxiety or panic attack which can result in violent behavior or mental breakdown.

Types of hallucinogens:
  • LSD
  • Ketamine
  • Dimenhydrinate
  • Nitrous oxide
  • Madrake
  • Diphenhydramine
  • PCP
  • Angel’s trumpet
  • Jimson weed
  • Salvia Divinorum

The drug addiction is often given by friends in parties. They say that you will be more "cool" but all that they do is harm your and his own health.
They can threaten you and then you won't remember what happened with you the previous day.

ANOREXIA AND

BULIMIA

Anorexia is a disorder of eating behavior in which an ill person loses excessive weight. An anorexic person is afraid to gain weight and he or she thinks that they look fat even when their weight is normal. Then, they start a weight reduction by fasting and reduced food intake.

Ill persons usually begin with the elimination of carbohydrates. Then, they reject fats, proteins and fluids, leading to cases of extreme dehydration. They also use diuretics, laxatives, they vomit on purpose or perform physical exercise. Affected individuals may lose from 15 to 50 percent of their body weight.

This disease is often associated with serious psychological disorders that cause changes in behavior and emotional behavior.

CONSEQUENCES

     General consequences:
  • Excessive preoccupation with caloric content of food
  • Constant feeling cold
  • Progressive reduction of food
  • Obsessed with image, studies and sport
  • Prevention of food
  • Hyperactivity

                    Clinical consequences:
            • The heartbeat is reduced
            • Lower blood pressure
            • Disappears menstruation in women (amenorrhea).

            • A long, thin hair appears, called woolly, in forearms, neck, back, legs and cheeks.
            • Chronic constipation
            • The skin is dehydrated

            • Broken nails
            • Hair loss
            • Teeth problems

There are two solutions to this problem:
            •  Placement in a hospital
            •  Outpatient treatment
            It is not rational.
            There aren't any possitive consequences.

            .       .       .       .       .

            SEXUAL HARASSMENT

Sexual violence is any act of sexual nature to a person when this doesn't want. It is also when the aggressor harasses verbally with words, calls... of sexual content to a minor. Is very frequent the sexual abuse through internet.
This harassment during adolescence is one of the most traumatic experiences that a teenager can live.
The adolescence is the age of the highest risk of receive this kind of violence.

There are horrible consequences for teens:

                  Physical health:
            • Wounds
            • Unwanted pregnancies
            • Sexually transmitted diseases
                  Mental health:
            • Depression
            • Fears
            • Anxiety
            • Low self-esteem
            • Eating disorders
            • Suicidal thoughts

When unwanted pregnancy occur, women resort to abortion.
An abortion is an expulsion from the uterus of a fetus. When a baby has not come out yet, some mothers kill this small guy.
The abortion is already prohibited in Spain and I agree. But if women can not kill the fetus through an operation, they will kill him when he will be outside mother's womb.

The following article is about Lucy Lanelly, a young woman who made her first abortion when she was 12.

            TYPES OF NEIGHBOUR

            TYPES OF NEIGHBOUR

There are a lot of types of neighbour. Here you have someone:
            ·The neighbour who ALWAYS greets:
When they see you, unless you are across the street they run to talk to you.
            ·The neighbour who doesn’t greet:
They see you never and when you say something to greet, they say: “I didn’t see you! Sorry! Hahaha!”
            ·The neighbour who isn’t here:
They are always in the beach, in the mountain, in the shopping centre... but not in their house.
            · The neighbour who screams cries and makes a lot of noise:
They have a baby or a young son and when they don’t do that they want... we have problem.
            · The neighbour who help you too much and he/she is a nuisance:
Ok, they can help you but all have a limit. But they don’t think about it.
For they: You can´t annoy your neighbour too much. If they need help, don’t worry, they call you.
            · The neighbour who is your friend (normally two):
You talk with them and, they talk with you. We think the same about both. You can meet with they because you are friends.
·And the house, only ONE house (normally), that hasn’t got owner:
That house has a lot of weeds, maybe a cat and her family live there, the windows are closed and the lamp of the outside it’s broken.

If you know more about that, please say it in the comments :D

            CATFISH

The couples who are formed in internet now are a reality. Thousands of people meet on the network and maintain relationships at a distance, some have seen in person, other not and some are a complete hoax. It's difficult to know who are you talking or if the person is lying you.
Many people go to forums or chat rooms to meet friends or for dating. In the second case sometimes those people meet and get to have a stable relationship and in some cases may even be talking ten years without knowing. For this reason some people mistrust and begin to wonder if the person behind the screen are being sincere or not.
            -
Mainly Catfish is an American documentary directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman that lasts 86 minutes.
The documentary is a real story of a man who met a woman on Facebook and began distance relationship that was a complete lie.
            -
After the premiere of the documentary, the protagonist contact to MTV to make a tv program by the name of: Catfish: The TV Show.

The program is presented by the protagonist of the documentary: Nev Schulman and Max Joseph. The intention is to help couples which are not known in person or find out if one person cheats on the other.
For example a man contacts with the presenters, he tell the story and give details of his supposed partner. Nev and Max travel to the man's house and begin to  investigate if the woman used the photograph of another person or give false information. After talking to the woman and tell them who they are. They organized a meeting for both of us and there is discovered if everything is true or not.

I leave here two chapters equals and random:
            -

I've seen the program on TV and I have seen the documentary.
In my opinion both are really interesting and worth seeing, also have things that may surprise you.
If you see the film you understand why the protagonist wants to start doing the TV program and help others that don't happen the same thing, so it's interesting. The film is a true story engraved by his own friends on many occasions.
I like more the TV program, it's amazing and I recommend it a lot.

            HOW TO DO A BROWNIE

In this Christmas holiday, I learnt how to do the most delicious brownie. First of all, you need some utentils:
             - A fork  → to mix
            - A casserole
            -A square tin

            Now, you need six ingredients:- 300 g butter- 350 g sugar- 250 g black chocolate - 5 eggs- 200 g flour - 7g powder yeast

Before you do something, turn the oven on at 170ºC and now you have to melt the butter in the casserole and later you add the chocolate.

When you have an homogeneous mixture, you will withdraw of the fire.
Now, you add the sugar and stir too well with the fork.
Once a ransacked you must leave it to cool a few minutes, and after you add the eggs and stir.

When you put the flour and the yeast you must to sprinkle them.

now, you only have to stir very well.

Finally, you cover the tin with rhe butter and a little of flour.

And you put the mass in the tin and to the oven.
You must leave it in the oven for 30-40 minutes.
            And that's all.

            DIOGENES SYNDROME

Diogenes syndrome is a disorder that affects, in the most of the cases, in old people that usually live alone. They feel alone and take refuge in their homes without leaving them, which leads to a total abandonment that makes the house get full of objects and rubbish, to fill the hollow they feel. We can't find this kind of disorder only in old people, because it can also be cases in young people. We can know through the different symptoms:

            • Social isolation; they want to be alone.
            • Don't leave home.
            • They don't care hygiene.
            • And others.
This syndrome makes they don't want to go out of their houses and accumulate a lot of rubbish in them. They want to live as poor people voluntarily; starts to don't care their own cleaning, and their house's cleaning. These people can have saved a lot of money and don't know that, what making keep things for no reason, including money.

Diogenes syndrome can be treated. At first, try to starts the person to care more for themselves and their houses. And then, they must have a few ways to prevent this syndrome reappears. For treatments act is needed a great social support; although the own affecteds generally don't want it.

This illness was discovered in the 60s, thanks to a scientific project that investigated this type of conduct. The name comes from Diogenes de Sinope, a philosopher who lived very alone.
